Job Role: APAC Innovation Lab Lead

The primary responsibility of the role will be:

  • Programme management of the Create+65 Innovation Lab portfolio of activities across APAC, including reporting and planning.
  • Working closely with the APAC and other innovation teams globally as well as practices and clients to identify new opportunities to innovate and/or solve problems associated with the delivery of legal services.
  • Lead efforts to grow the external profile of the APAC innovation lab through marketing and communications activities, including thought leadership, publishing, conference collaboration and presentations.
  • Leading client and other third-party collaboration projects in Asia Pacific in furtherance of our innovation strategy.
  • Supporting the internal engagement activities of the global innovation programme, with a specific priority focus on APAC, to encourage awareness of and engagement with the programme and specific innovation activities including delivering training sessions.

 

To succeed in this varied role, the ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Previous experience working in a global professional services environment, preferably in a law firm.
  • Previous experience with digital transformation and solution development projects. Knowledge and exposure to legal operations would be desirable but is not essential.
  • A clear understanding of standard project management principles and processes.
  • Strong relationship and communication skills with an ability to influence multiple levels of stakeholders and across cross-functional teams. The ability to laterally influence will be key.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and creative, flexible approach to problem-solving and identification of opportunity.
  • The ability to think strategically as well as analytically with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Is comfortable working independently with low levels of supervision.

 

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level, ideally in a Law discipline or equivalent. (Legal training preferred)
