Job Role: Business Development Executive
Location: Kuala Lampur
Main duties and responsibilities would include:
- Assist in planning and executing BD initiatives that relate to the needs of the practice areas, leveraging the firm’s social media platforms to build brand awareness and connect with existing and prospective clients.
- Assist in the continuous review and improvement of BD contents and collaterals, including developing BD policies.
- Build a strong online presence, assume the role of brand guardian, and increase brand visibility.
- Lead and execute innovative campaigns, and facilitate client events and BD-related training.
- Write and maintain resumes of legal professionals in a professional, standardised format and structure.
- Prepare reports on BD initiatives and results.
- Prepare and disseminate client alerts and newsletters.
- Other related work as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least an undergraduate degree in business development, marketing or communications (journalism, public relations) from a recognised university.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Any experience from the legal industry or professional services environment is advantageous.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proven effective team player with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative, and excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of discretion and ethical conduct.
- Self-driven and able to work independently and collaboratively with limited supervision.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Is flexible with time and able to work outside office hours when necessary.
- Fast learner with a strong service mind and “can-do” attitude.
- Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
