Job Role: Manager, Contracts Team

Location: Remote

In this role you will:

  • Lead a team of Contract Specialists to supervise their involvement in the preparation of legal documents such as contracts, addendums, MSAs, deputation letters etc.
  • Work with stakeholders to define workflows across teams to streamline day to day processes across teams.
  • Work with stakeholders to define SLAs with internal teams and clients, for creation or changes in legal documents and ensure strong adherence to them within the team.
  • Liaison with 3rd party legal counsel to bring in expertise whenever needed.
  • Work with Program and Product teams to identify gaps in day-to-day processes and help streamline them.
  • Provide training and research support to the paralegals by keeping them abreast of current labor laws across countries, legal statutes and other changes in the legal system.
  • Conduct regular productivity evaluations of the team by tracking their KPIs and helping train them whenever necessary.
  • Assisting in providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice on legal topics (e.g., fintech, labour laws, corporate, etc.)
  • Assist with the review and negotiation of client and vendor agreements and in furtherance of internal compliance initiatives.
  • Provide day-to-day proactive employment law counselling and support resolution of HR and legal employment issues.
  • Handle and assist in a variety of other issues and projects that arise from time to time

What do we need?

  • Previous experience in a similar role and managing a team
  • Experience of at least 8+ years in a Corporate Environment
  • Familiar with Employment and Labour Laws globally
  • Litigation experience in the Employment space
  • Legal Background or BA studies in a similar field
  • Great attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
